A Meeting of Mind: Nuria x Stooli.id

A thoughtful exchange between Kuala Lumpur and Bandung.

On a rainy afternoon in Kuala Lumpur, the Nuria showroom at Plaza Damas offered a different kind of energy—calm, thoughtful, and quietly engaged. The occasion marked an exclusive preview of Stooli.id, a handmade shoe brand from Bandung, Indonesia, introduced to the Malaysian market through the lens of Nuria’s design ethos.

Nuria has built its name on timeless, minimal pieces with a focus on form, comfort, and quiet sophistication. Stooli.id, known for its slow-made leather shoes, shares this spirit—carefully crafting each pair with attention to detail and purpose. Together, they presented a natural pairing: shoes and garments that speak the same visual language, grounded in quality and restraint. Both brands approach fashion not as fast consumption, but as a long-term relationship with the wearer.

Founders Zaznuriah and Tesce, dressed in Nuria’s signature Gia Set, welcomed guests to explore the shared collection. Visitors browsed at their own pace, trying on shoes and feeling fabrics, while conversations moved easily between Kuala Lumpur and Bandung. Burrow café kept the room fuelled with coffee, creating a relaxed rhythm that encouraged people to linger. Whether it led to an impulse buy or a more considered decision, the setting gave room for connection and discovery. The gentle hum of conversation, paired with thoughtful design, created a moment that felt personal yet quietly celebratory.

In a space that felt more like a quiet studio than a storefront, the collaboration stood out not through scale, but through clarity. A simple, considered exchange between two cities, two creators, and a shared idea of what good design can feel like—rooted, relevant, and made to last.

*Stooli.id is now available at the Nuria showroom. Visits are by appointment, which can be booked at nuria.com.my. It’s a fitting approach—intentional, personal, and in step with both brands’ way of doing things.
